What is Proclear Toric Cooper Vision?


A contact lens Proclear Toric (also known as "contact", for short) is a corrective or cosmetic Proclear Toric lens placed on the cornea of the Proclear Toric eye atop the iris.

Contacts can Proclear Toric come in a number of varieties, Proclear Toric including hard and soft (extended-wear and disposable, respectively). The most commonly Proclear Toric used contact lenses today, however, are of the Cooper Vision soft variety, invented in 1961 Proclear Toric by the Czech chemist Otto Wichterle (1913–1998).

Contact lenses (both soft and hard) Proclear Toric are made of various types of polymers, Cooper Vision usually containing some Cooper Vision variant of silicone Proclear Toric hydrogel. Such thimerosal-free products are sometimes labelled "for Proclear Toric sensitive eyes". Products that Proclear Toric do not contain any preservatives usually have shorter expiration dates. For example, non-aerosol preservative-free Proclear Toric saline solution typically only last two Proclear Toric weeks once opened.
